Awele Okigbo is the Founder and CEO of Credo Advisory, a leading strategic and development communications firm based in Abuja and Washington, DC.
For over 25 years, she has led communications teams to raise awareness, build trust, and effect change for institutions, including the United Nations, the United States Agency for International Development, the United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, the World Bank, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
In 2022, she was inducted into the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Goalkeepers community. As a Goalkeeper, she is part of a collective of global leaders addressing the world’s major challenges and accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals using powerful stories, data, and partnerships to highlight achievements.
In 2024 Awele Okigbo was selected as one of 50 women visionaries for the prestigious Vital Voices Visionaries program, founded by Hillary Clinton and Madeline Albright. This fellowship recognizes emerging women leaders tackling global challenges like gender-based violence, climate change, and economic inequality.
