Credo Voices, the podcast where we bring you inspiring stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. I’m your host, Awele Okigbo, the CEO of Credo Advisory.
Childhood is often imagined as a time of innocence and joy, but the reality is much different for millions of young people worldwide. Picture a young child, weighed down by anxiety or sadness, struggling to find their voice in a world that doesn’t seem to notice. The World Health Organization reports that 1 in 7 10- to 19-year-olds experiences a mental disorder, accounting for 15% of the global disease burden in this age group.
In our pilot episode for Credo Voices Season 2, we take you to Kenya to meet Cherelle Druppers, co-founder of the ChesaChesa Dance Foundation. Through dance, ChesaChesa helps children in underserved communities reclaim their joy and build emotional resilience. By fostering healing, they are advancing SDG 3, good health and well-being.
Join us as we explore dance’s transformative power and its role in creating healthier, more equitable futures for young people.
