Episode Introduction

CredoVoices, the podcast where we bring you inspiring stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. I’m your host, Awele Okigbo, the CEO of Credo Advisory.

For many young changemakers, the path to impact can feel like an uphill battle, especially for those from underrepresented backgrounds. But as the African proverb says, if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. This wisdom is at the heart of Jasmine Anouna’s journey.

In this episode of Credo Voices Season 2, we travel to Barcelona to meet Jasmine, the founder of The Bloom, an award-winning community-empowering, underserved social impact leader. At just 14, after a suicide attempt, she discovered the transformative power of human connection, a realization that became the foundation for her work.

What started as a simple newsletter has grown into a global platform bridging the global South and North, offering mentorship, networks, and opportunities for changemakers. Jasmine is advancing SDG 10, Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17, partnerships for the goals, ensuring no changemaker is left

Social Entrepreneur | Speaker

Jasmine Anouna is a passionate leader in social entrepreneurship and community building. She is the founder and CEO of The Bloom, a global platform launched in 2020 that connects over 40,000 social impact leaders. Starting as a small newsletter for 20 friends, The Bloom has grown organically into a worldwide community offering mentorship, resources, and events focused on social justice, feminism, and climate action.

Raised as the daughter of refugees and immigrants in Italy, Jasmine experienced systemic injustice firsthand, which shaped her determination to challenge inequality. Her career began in women’s rights and human rights advocacy, including work at the United Nations. Frustrated by institutional limits, she created The Bloom to build an accessible, inclusive network where changemakers thrive.

Jasmine is recognized as a UN SDG Goalkeeper and was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe in Social Impact in 2025. A sought-after speaker, she champions authentic leadership, intersectionality, and collaboration. Driven by innovation and a bold vision, Jasmine’s mission is to democratize social impact careers and nurture a global community that accelerates meaningful and lasting social change.
