Energising Women and Youth in Agri-food Systems (EWAS)

Credo Advisory proudly supports the Energising Women and Youth in Agri-food Systems (EWAS) programme in Nigeria, a pivotal initiative led by Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) and backed by the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (the Alliance). EWAS is committed to empowering Nigerian businesses with affordable finance, technical training, and commercial opportunities, specifically enabling women and youth to access and benefit from solar-powered equipment and services across the agri-food value chain.
As a programme focused on strengthening women’s economic participation in agriculture, EWAS promotes inclusive clean energy solutions that improve productivity, resilience, and incomes. Credo advances this mission by highlighting impactful stories, sharing learning insights, and fostering strategic partnerships that expand energy access and drive sustainable community development.
Strategy & Execution
Credo developed and executed a comprehensive communications strategy for the 2026 EWAS Boot Camp, a high-impact convening of partners and Nigerian clean energy enterprises focused on refining business models and operational strategies to achieve EWAS objectives. Key activities included developing and amplifying the EWAS press release, real-time event coverage and content creation, stakeholder and participant interviews, digital media engagement, and inclusive storytelling that positions women as market drivers in clean energy and agriculture.
In addition, Credo is spearheading a targeted social and radio campaign to highlight the productive uses of energy and the tangible benefits of solar-powered solutions for Nigeria’s agri-food sector.
Outcome
Through strategic amplification and coordinated digital engagement, Credo has significantly increased the visibility for EWAS and its partners, RMI and the Alliance. The campaign strengthened awareness among stakeholders in the clean energy and agriculture ecosystems, deepened audience engagement, and reinforced a clear call to action for partnership and investment in productive use of energy (PUE) solutions.
