Brand Audit

Credo Advisory was engaged by Plan International Nigeria to conduct a comprehensive brand audit aimed at strengthening the organisation’s visibility, recognition and positioning within Nigeria’s girls’ rights and development sector. The engagement combined brand, communications and audience research to assess brand awareness, stakeholder perception, messaging, digital presence, reputation and competitive positioning.
Strategy & Execution
Credo designed and led a mixed-methods assessment combining quantitative and qualitative research with brand, communications and competitive analysis. Working with NOIPolls on primary research, the team gathered insights through a 1,195-respondent CATI survey, key informant interviews and focus group discussions across selected locations in Nigeria. Credo also assessed Plan International Nigeria’s brand expression, messaging, digital presence and competitive position against peer organisations, triangulating findings across the different research streams to develop a comprehensive picture of the brand.
To support implementation, Credo created a suite of communications and visibility assets, including factsheets, policy briefs, infographics, social media content, videos, motion graphics, and multimedia storytelling materials. Together, these tools enabled IIF to communicate complex investment and research insights in accessible ways, strengthen stakeholder engagement, elevate its thought leadership, and reinforce its position as a leading convener and catalyst within Nigeria’s impact investing ecosystem.
Outcome
The audit delivered an evidence-based assessment of Plan International Nigeria’s brand health, identifying strengths in stakeholder trust, programme recognition and community credibility, alongside opportunities to strengthen wider awareness, messaging consistency, visibility and differentiation. The final assessment provided strategic recommendations to strengthen the organisation’s positioning, communications and engagement with priority audiences.
