Credo Advisory Features in Princeton University Study

Credo Advisory, a leading African strategic and development communications firm, has featured in a January 2022 Princeton University Study titled All Aboard: Nigeria’s Federal Government Streamlines Pandemic Response Coordination, January – November 2020. The United Nations Development Programme Crisis Bureau supported the case study as part of a series on centre-of-government coordination of the pandemic response.

Pages 16 and 17 of the publication highlight Credo’s mitigation of COVID-19 prevalence through technical assistance to the National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 (PTF COVID-19) in Nigeria; and strategic communications advisory (as a member of the Risk Communication and Community Engagement pillar of PTF COVID-19).

Credo Advisory’s support included developing and implementing a national communications strategy in coordination with all the levels of government. The firm also coordinated all media relations for the PTF National Coordinator by arranging media appearances and interviews and drafting daily press briefing speeches, talking points, and presentations.

Credo’s team of Communications Specialists and its innovative Creative Studio provided technical communications support to the national emergency response by developing strategic and tactical messaging and public campaign materials, emphasising grassroot sensitisation. The team also coordinated all cross-government communications. The firm crafted and translated a wide range of response messages that were disseminated using a combination of formal (digital, print and social media) and informal communication channels (community-based mobilisation and advocacy).

The Chief Executive Officer of Credo Advisory, Awele Okigbo, stated that ‘our firm played a crucial role during the national emergency response on COVID-19. Being featured in this case study with other key experts who contributed immensely in fighting the pandemic is a huge milestone for us.’
