Credo Advisory is proud to have provided technical communications support to the “Women on the Grid Hub,” an initiative of the United Kingdom Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (UKNIAF), for the Federal/State Electricity Market Connector Event, themed “The Global is Local, and the Local is Global.”
The Women on the Grid Hub is a growing network of Nigerian women working in the on-grid power sector. Held on July 9, 2025, the event brought together over 40 women professionals across Nigeria’s federal and state electricity markets for a day of bold conversations, learning, and connection. As a growing network of Nigerian women working in the on-grid power sector, the Hub continues to create critical spaces for leadership, solidarity, and policy influence.
The agenda featured interactive sessions, panel discussions, and peer-led knowledge exchange, where participants explored the realities of working in emerging electricity markets and shared practical advice for aspiring women leaders in the sector.
UKNIAF Team Lead Engr. Frank Edozie, in his welcome address, delivered a resonant message:
“Be bold to have your voice heard. Nobody knows the job more than you do. The country depends on you. The future of our industries and our children depends on you. Remember that there are people looking up to you. Be bold.”
His words set the tone for the day as participants reflected on their personal journeys, mentorship experiences, and the importance of collective leadership.
“At Credo, we believe the stories we tell have the power to shape the sectors we serve. That’s why we’re proud to support the bold women leading change in Nigeria’s on-grid power space.”— Jim David, Communications Assistant, Credo Advisory.
