Supporting a Global Dialogue on Climate Resilience

Credo Advisory partnered with Connexus Corporation for the Cracking the Nut 2024 Conference, a leading global forum addressing key challenges in agriculture, climate change, and food security. This partnership resulted from membership in the Small Business Association of International Companies (SBAIC), a platform for collaboration among small businesses in the international development space.

The event, organized by Connexus and partners like USAID, Chemonics, DAI, and Catholic Relief Services, occurred in Abuja, Nigeria, on October 7-8, 2024. This year’s theme, “Preparing for Accelerated Climate Change,” convened global experts to explore solutions for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture, supporting climate adaptations, and strengthening the resilience of global food systems.

Following the main event, an Anti-Fragile Market Systems Training was held on October 9-10, equipping participants with strategies to build resilient and adaptable agricultural systems in the face of environmental challenges.

Credo’s participation in Cracking the Nut 2024 reaffirmed its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly focusing on:

  • SDG 2: Zero Hunger– Promoting resilient agricultural practices that enhance food security.
  • SDG 13: Climate Action– Showcasing innovative climate finance solutions like green bonds to tackle the global climate crisis.
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals– Facilitating impactful collaborations between public and private sectors for scalable, sustainable development.

“It was inspiring to see how Cracking the Nut 2024 united stakeholders to address climate resilience and food security,” said Hannah Egya, Communications Specialist at Credo Advisory. “We aimed to amplify these critical conversations and highlight solutions that can make a real impact in Nigeria and beyond. We are proud to have contributed to these important discussions.”

As the media partner, Credo provided advisory, design, and photography services, posted real-time event updates and key takeaways as well as managed media coverage. Attendees and participants engaged with the discussions through the hashtag #CTN24, where innovative ideas and partnerships emerging from the event were highlighted.
