Credo Advisory proudly supported the Energising Women and Youth in Agri-food Systems (EWAS) programme at its 2026 Boot Camp: a high-impact convening that brought together partners and Nigerian clean energy enterprises to refine their business models, strengthen operational strategies, and accelerate delivery of productive use of energy (PUE) solutions across the agri-food value chain.
Led by the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) and backed by the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (the Alliance), EWAS on competitive basis, provides Nigerian businesses with affordable finance, training, and commercial opportunities. The programme is designed to expand access to solar-powered technologies and services in the agriculture sector, which enable women and youth to increase productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, grow incomes, and strengthen food systems resilience.
The boot camp provided a collaborative platform for participating enterprises and partners to align on strategy, deepen technical knowledge, and consolidate pathways for scaling clean energy solutions. Through interactive sessions, peer learning, and enterprise showcases, the convening underscored a central message: reliable energy is essential to unlocking inclusive growth across Nigeria’s agri-food sector.
As the strategic communications partner for EWAS, Credo delivered comprehensive event coverage and media support. Our team provided videography and photography documentation, real-time digital engagement, and conducted stakeholder interviews. Prior to the boot camp, Credo supported press release amplification announcing the EWAS launch
Beyond event coverage, Credo’s communications approach intentionally spotlights women as market drivers and business leaders, shifting the narrative from access alone to agency, innovation, and enterprise growth. Through inclusive storytelling, we highlight the mission of EWAS in empowering women and youth farmers to leverage solar-powered technologies and transform agricultural production and processing.
A key session from the boot camp featured hearing directly from the participating enterprises. They described real-life problems they try to solve for the women farmers they serve in rural communities without access to electricity, finance, technical and social support, and how strategic partnerships like EWAS is positioning them to scale impact and reach more women. These testimonies reinforced the programme’s broader ambition: to power livelihoods while strengthening Nigeria’s food and energy ecosystems.
“Expanding energy access is not just about technology; it is about unlocking opportunity,” said Dr. Obinna Onuoha, Senior Communications Specialist at Credo Advisory. “We are proud to support EWAS in documenting and amplifying the stories of enterprises and entrepreneurs who are powering inclusive growth across Nigeria’s agri-food systems.”
Credo Advisory is committed to elevating initiatives that advance clean energy access, strengthen women’s economic participation, and drive sustainable development across Nigeria.
