Credo Advisory supported the Strengthening Peace and Resilience in Nigeria (SPRiNG) Programme in commemorating International Women’s Day 2026 through a high-impact dialogue on the theme “Women’s Rights and Justice: Taking Action for Inclusive and Sustainable Peace.”
Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the event brought together women pastoralists and farmers from Benue, Kaduna, Plateau, and Katsina, alongside colleagues and partners from UK in Nigeria, to share experiences and perspectives on peace, security, and livelihoods. The dialogue created a necessary space for honest conversation, lived experience, and a shared commitment to building more inclusive and resilient communities.
At the heart of the event were the voices of women survivors of conflict and abuse, who spoke openly about their journeys toward healing and economic independence. Their stories were among the most compelling of the day, illustrating the deeply human stakes behind the programme’s work.
The dialogue also highlighted the growing role of traditional leaders, trained through SPRiNG’s implementing partners, in championing more inclusive community decision-making and actively challenging longstanding exclusionary practices
As SPRiNG’s strategic communications partner, Credo Advisory provided end-to-end communications support across the full commemoration period. Our team delivered full photography coverage of the event, conducted in-depth interviews with women survivors and programme beneficiaries, and produced testimonial reels that captured their stories with honesty and care.
We also produced a video on SPRiNG’s Women, Peace and Security work, bringing Women’s History Month to a powerful close. Our team developed infographics presenting key Women, Peace and Security data, along with a series of quote cards designed to amplify the dialogue’s most resonant moments across digital channels.
“Every story we captured during this International Women’s Day commemoration was a testament to the strength and resilience of women who have lived through conflict and found their way forward. At Credo, we believe that giving these stories the visibility they deserve is a contribution to the peace we are all working toward,” said Lesi Nwisagbo, Communications Specialist, Credo Advisory.
The message from the room was that when women are empowered and included, communities are stronger and more resilient. Credo Advisory is proud to have helped carry that message further, ensuring that the stories and insights from this dialogue reach the audiences who need to hear them most.
