Credo Advisory Provided Communications Support for the Nigeria Electrification Project Technical Workshop for Solar Mini Grids and Solar Home Systems

Credo Advisory provided strategic communications support to Nigeria’s Rural Electrification Agency and The World Bank on the 2-day Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP) Technical Workshop. The workshop provided potential NEP developers with information required to participate in the Minimum Subsidy Tender and Performance-Based Grant for Component 1 (Solar Mini Grids) as well as the Output Based Fund and the Market Scale-up Challenge Fund for Component 2 (Solar Home Systems). The workshop held on the 15th and 16th of April 2019.

The Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP) is a Federal Government initiative that is private sector-driven, aimed at providing electricity access to households, micro, small and medium enterprises in off-grid communities across the country through renewable power sources.

Credo Advisory designed and implemented pre, during and post communication activities and materials for the workshop including; banners, posters, event programme, social media engagements, flyers, workshop communique, etc., that highlight the objectives of NEP to improve stakeholder understanding of the project. Credo also developed promotional videos for the event using testimonials from participants.

Participants at the commissioning included; Task Team Lead, NEP, Jon Exel; Head, Project Management Unit, NEP, Adejoke Odumusu; Executive Director, Rural Electrification Fund, Sanusi Ohiare; Product Manager, Odyssey, Hunter Dudley; Component Head, NEP Solar Mini Grids, Lolade Abiola; Component Head, NEP Solar Home Systems, Ifunanya Dozie; Component Head, NEP, Energizing Education Project; Anita Otubu; Heads and Representatives from renewable energy organizations, private developers, financiers and other key stakeholders.
