Event Communications Support for the NEP Grant Agreement Signing

Credo Advisory provided technical assistance at the Grant Agreement Signing for the Performance Based Grant (PBG) and Output Based Fund (OBF) on October 18th, 2019. These grants are under the Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP) funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

The objective of the signing was to aid the advancement of the off-grid sector with the deployment of mini grids and sale of solar home systems to unserved and underserved communities in Nigeria. The use of solar home systems and mini grids will support the provision of clean, safe and reliable electricity across Nigeria.

For this event, the Credo team developed and reviewed pre, during and post communication activities and materials including event branding materials, social media engagements, press release, and event programme, that highlighted NEP objectives. Post event deliverables include social media e-flyers, an event communique and testimonial videos of beneficiaries to be posted on REA digital media platforms.

As part of Credo’s communications support role, speeches were drafted for the REA Managing Director, NEP PMU Head, NEP SHS Component Head and NEP Mini Grids Component Head. The speeches captured project activities, the grant application process and the projected benefits of renewable energy to Nigerians.

Credo Advisory is the consulting communications firm providing technical support to Nigeria’s Rural Electrification Agency (REA) on the Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP) and Energizing Economies Initiative (EEI).
