On August 19, 2019, Kogi State officially joined a growing number of solar communities across the world. The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) commissioned an 80KW solar hybrid mini grid power plant in Upake community, Ajaokuta Local Government Area to provide clean, safe and reliable electricity for homes and businesses.
In providing communications support to REA, Credo Advisory assisted in the development of an event communications plan to facilitate the commissioning. Credo guided the REA Promotions team on the requisite event communications activities and materials for all stages of the event (pre-event, during event and post-event). As part of the technical assistance, Credo also performed quality control checks on all the event creatives such as: programme of events, stage banner, email invitations, etc.
As part of advisory support services, Credo also ensured that all post-event activities were professionally executed through the development of impact e-flyers for social media, social media monitoring and digital media monitoring.
Credo continually seeks innovative ways to build the capacity of the REA Promotions Department; to improve the team’s communication implementation as well as their event communications process.
