Credo’s work in risk and development communications has been recognized by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Thanks to our extensive support to the Federal Government of Nigeria’s multisectoral intergovernmental COVID-19 response, Credo was referenced in a CDC journal article titled “Effect of Nigeria Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 Pandemic.” The Emerging Infectious Diseases journal article cites Credo Advisory’s role as a member of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 and a contributor to the success of the National COVID-19 Multisectoral Pandemic Response Plan. The article also specifies Credo’s communications support to Nigeria’s National Pandemic Response Center. The article was also published by the National Library of Medicine.
This is the third time Credo has gotten international recognition for its communications impact in mitigating the spread of COVID-19. In November 2020, Princeton University conducted a case study (All Aboard: Nigeria’s Federal Government Streamlines Pandemic Response Coordination) on the Government’s COVID-19 experience as part of a series on center-of-government coordination of the pandemic response. The study captured key insights on shared learning and best practice methodologies. Princeton’s research team interviewed Credo consultants to learn about our successful implementation of the risk communications strategy and community engagement plan across Nigeria.
The recognition of our work validates Credo’s impact in executing international standard communication interventions in collaboration with the Governments, international partners, and the private sector.
