Joseph Abuku, Communications Manager

National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO)

Credo Advisory provided strategic communications support to the National Social Safety Nets Project (NASSP) as part of the Federal Government of Nigeria’s plans to improve the lives of citizens through better distribution of resources under its social protection initiatives. Credo was engaged to develop communication materials and products for NASSP to facilitate awareness and understanding of its project objectives at Federal, State, and Local Government levels.

Strategy & Execution

The Credo team was tasked with the delivery of a comprehensive communication strategy. The products and services delivered include:

  • A thorough assessment, revision, and validation of NASSP’s communications strategy.
  • The development of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials and translated them into the three major Nigerian languages (Igbo, Yoruba, and Hausa) as part of the project’s public awareness campaign.
  • Establishment of crisis communication guidelines for pre and post-crisis stages.

Credo’s Creative Studio supported project rebranding with promotional materials for NASSP events and community engagement exercises.  Our Studio also developed an animation explainer video on the National Social Register development process, infographics and e-flyers on the project’s COVID-19 response strategy, and newspaper advertorials on the social register.

Outcome

With Credo’s support, NASSP was fully equipped with a holistic communications strategy and a wide range of communication materials in English and local languages to execute its public awareness campaign targeted at all stakeholder groups.
